Pawan Kumar Gupta, one of the four convicts sentenced to death in the Vasant Vihar gang rape case, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. Pawan claims that he was a minor when the incident took place in December 2012. In such a situation, he should be given the benefit of it. In the petition filed on behalf of Doshi Pawan Gupta, it has been said that during the incident, investigation related to the minor was also not conducted. Pawan's petition will be heard in the Delhi High Court on Thursday.

For your information, tell us you that the petition filed for the demand to hang the accused of Nirbhaya rape and murder soon was heard in the Patiala House court. The court has ordered the Tihar jail administration to issue notice to the four convicts and ask about the status of mercy petition to be filed on their behalf. The court has said that a week's notice to the culprits should be issued and sought an answer. During the hearing, the victim's mother started crying in the court, the judge expressed condolences to her.

After the review petition of a convict Akshay Kumar Singh was dismissed from the Supreme Court on Wednesday, the petition of the victim's mother was heard in Patiala House. The victim's mother has demanded in her application that the culprits be hanged at the earliest. On behalf of Delhi government, the court said that death warrants should be issued to the culprits, because Akshay's application from the Supreme Court has been rejected. However, Judge Satish Kumar Arora said that this can be considered after reading the order of the Supreme Court. The next hearing of this case will now be held on 7 January.
