New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party national president and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said today that whatever work was under the Delhi government in the Nirbhaya case was dealt with in a few hours. We never made any delay in settling any work related to this matter. Kejriwal said that the role of Delhi government in this matter is very small. We want the culprits to be hanged at the earliest.
It is worth mentioning that whether the convicts of Nirbhaya are hanged on January 22 or not, the Patiala House Court will churn this on Friday. The court has asked to submit a status report to the Tihar Jail administration by 3:30 pm on Friday on the scheduled execution of the four convicts. At the same time, Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi today accused the Center and the Delhi government that they are delaying the hanging of Nirbhaya's culprits for their political interest.
Appealing to PM Modi, Asha Devi said, 'I request you with folded hands to get the culprits of my daughter hanged at the earliest. You said in 2014 that there was a lot of attack on women ... so you fulfill your promise. Let us tell you that on Thursday, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar had blamed the Delhi government for the delay in hanging Nirbhaya's culprits.
