Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, has announced the NIRF Rankings 2021 for all categories. Unlike the previous year, the lists were issued for 11 categories this year rather than 10. This year, Miranda House came out on top in the college category.

The second and third places, respectively, went to Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College for Women and Chennai's Loyola College. Women's college Miranda House and Lady Shri Ram College have remained unchanged from the previous year.

Loyola College of Chennai, on the other hand, has moved up to third place from sixth place the previous year. In comparison to last year, Hindu College has dropped from third to ninth place this year.
