New Delhi: In view of Corona virus infection in the country, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that to simplify the work of emergency services, toll tax will not be taken on national highways temporarily in the country. Nitin Gadkari said that in view of the spread of Corona spread in the country, the toll collection work has been stopped at all the toll plazas of the country.

He has said that this will help people in emergency services work to save necessary time. Apart from this, Gadkari has written in his tweet that, maintenance of roads and availability of emergency resources at toll plazas will continue as usual. Actually, the 21-day lockdown in the country will continue till 14 April. During this time, the highway and state borders have been sealed. Only emergency vehicles are allowed to move. Only trucks supplying essential goods, government vehicles and ambulances related to essential services are being allowed.

Not only this, the police is allowing only a few private cars to go on the highway for a valid reason. In such a situation, people who are engaged in emergency services will be benefited by not taking toll and they will be able to give smooth service without stopping in a short time.
