Patna: A bridge to be built in Bihar with the help of the central government will end the distance between the two states of Bihar and Jharkhand. A journey of only two kilometres will take you to the land of the neighbouring state. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone of this bridge on 14 November. With the construction of the bridge, the people of both states will come closer and will be able to participate in each other's happiness and sorrow. This bridge is going to be constructed in Rohtas. About 50 lakh population will get a direct benefit.

With the construction of a bridge on the Son river at Panduka in the Nauhatta block of the district, the distance to Jharkhand will be greatly reduced. But, after the construction of the bridge, Garhwa (Jharkhand) will reach Srinagar village after travelling 2-3 kms. Whereas the distance of Garhwa will be only 35 to 40 kms. Similarly, travelling from Panduka bridge, the distance of Ramanujganj (market) of Chhattisgarh will be only 98-99 kms. At present, a distance of about 220 kilometres has to be covered to go.
