Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said on the Union Budget that despite the Kovid epidemic and problems in revenue collection, a balanced budget was presented by the Central Government, it is welcome. He also congratulated the Central Government for presenting a balanced budget. Regarding the general budget (the year 2021-22), CM Nitish said that a budget of Rs 34.8 lakh crore has been presented for the year 2021-22, which is more than the estimated budgetary expenditure of Rs 30.42 lakh crore for the year 2020-21.

CM Nitish further said that in the light of the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission, 41 percent amount will be given to the state governments. An arrangement of Rs 2 lakh 23 thousand crores has been made in the health sector, which is 137 percent more than the previous year. Also, the establishment of the National Institute of World Health has also been announced. CM Nitish said that the central government has decided to give LPG cylinders to one crore additional families under the Ujjwala scheme, which is welcome. With this, 100 new cities will be added to the gas pipeline.

CM Nitish said that solar and renewable energy are being encouraged. Funds will be given to stop air pollution. This is a good step towards protecting the environment of the country. He said that the Bihar government had already decided to install pre-paid smart meters. The central government has also decided to take this work forward. CM Nitish said that pensioners above 75 years of age have been exempted from submitting income tax returns, this is a good decision.
