Northern Railway suspended wrestler Sushil Kumar from his job after Sagar murder case

New Delhi: The Delhi Police arrested Olympic medal winning wrestler Sushil Kumar. Sushil has now been suspended from his Northern Railway job. In fact, the process of his suspension started only after his arrest. Northern Railway CPRO on Tuesday informed that Sushil has been suspended from his job.

Wrestler Sushil Kumar has been removed from his railway job after being arrested by Delhi police. Sushil Kumar, who is on a deputation in the Delhi government, was made officer on special duty to promote sports in the school at Chhatrasal Stadium. Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Deepak Kumar said that the Railway Board on Sunday received a report from the Delhi government on Sushil Kumar. It mentions the registration of FIR against Sushil Kumar.

The Delhi government had also rejected Sushil Kumar's demand for increased deputation. The government had then sent an application to Northern railway also to reject the deputation. Sushil Kumar was a railway officer since 2015 and was posted on deputation in the Delhi government. The deputation tenure was till 2020 which he wanted to extend.
