Despite pandemonium by the Opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the new Union ministers in Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Modi told the Upper House: "It should make everyone proud that several women, several people belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe community have taken oath as ministers. Several new ministers are children of farmers and also belong to OBC communities. It seems some people cannot digest that more women, SC, ST and OBC community members are becoming ministers,"
Pm Further said: "It's a matter of pride that people from rural India, who come from ordinary families have taken oath as Ministers. But some people don’t want ministers to be introduced. They also have an anti-woman mindset since they do not want women ministers to be introduced to the House.
However, the Opposition reached the well of the Rajya Sabha with placards and raising slogans, Chairman Venkaiah Naidu requested the Opposition to take their respective seats but to no avail and finally Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm
