Washington: America is preparing to cut down the number of its troops deployed in Iraq. Both countries believe that the threat of the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has come down significantly. In the coming days, the US will reduce its army from Iraq. This information has been given by both the countries in a joint statement.

The joint statement said that the US stands firmly with the Iraqi Republic. The US is not only supportive of Iraq's bilateral cooperation, but is also ready to assist Iraq on a protective and political level. The US said that work will also be done in Iraq towards political stability, fair elections, reconstruction and reform, so that the problems of the people of Iraq will be overcome. America is also helping in the preparations for holding elections in Iraq, enforcing human rights and giving place to displaced people. The two countries will also work together to establish the families of those who were massacred on the target of ISIS.

The joint statement said that the US has helped in getting international support for Iraq's reform efforts. The US has also discussed financial topics to work with the Iraqi government. The situation arising due to Coronavirus and the fall in oil prices have also been discussed.
