ATLANTA: On Sunday, the Atlanta police said the department fired one officer for firing a black man and another officer was posted on administrative duty instead. However, violent protests were again fueled in the city after Black's death, which led the police chief to resign.

Body camera footage released Sunday morning by Atlanta police showed 27-year-old Rashard Brooks closing in on Wendy's drive-through lane after police were found sleeping alone in the car when police arrived to arrest him with white officers, he spoke well and cooperated fully. According to the police, he was drunk, which was to be investigated.

Brooks said, "I know you're just doing your job." Brooks spoke to one of the officers for about 40 minutes (the time before being shot) and he agreed to a breath test. After taking the test, an officer tried to hand Brooks a handcuff and he tried to flee from there, resulting in a conflict that ended with Brooks' death.
