New Delhi: You are soon going to get rid of heavy LPG gas cylinders. LPG company Indane is soon going to launch gas cylinders made of fibre glass composites. The blue-yellow-green cylinder will weigh much less than the current cylinder. If there is a defect in these cylinders, it is only that they will have a maximum of ten kg of gas inside them.

Small cylinders are also proposed to be filled with five kg of gas. Tell us that the cylinder currently available for domestic use contains 14.2 kg of gas. Apart from Indane, another LPG company HPCL has also announced a cylinder made of fibre glass. The cylinders will be of 10 and 5 kg as well as two kg. These cylinders may not be free for large families, but one of the major facilities is that you will be able to see continuously how much gas has been spent and how much is left.

Part of the cylinder will be transparent. The new 10 kg cylinder will be half the current iron cylinder weight as well as safer because of its fiber glass. These cylinders are currently available only to customers in Delhi and Hyderabad. The people of other States will have to demand it from their gas agency.
