According to the media report, during the discussion on the bill, the members feared that after this bill, India will become a graveyard of ships of developed countries. Some members said that attention should be paid to environmental interests. At the same time, he also stressed the need to enact stringent laws for the health of the unorganized workers engaged in this work. Some members suggested that apart from providing facilities at the international level, the Center should also form a committee of environmentalists to review the damage caused by it. India's recycling industry has a thirty percent share in the global market. Which will increase more than the passing of the bill, people will get employment opportunities. In FY 2017, 6,323 tonnes of ships have been demolished in India.
