Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday passed 55 resolutions in a cabinet meeting. Under this, the state employees were sanctioned to implement the old pension system. Jharkhand will become the third state after Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh to implement the old pension system. Last month, Hemant Soren said that the old pension scheme will be implemented by August 15.
Apart from this, a proposal from the Food Department was also passed in the Cabinet meeting. In this, 61 lakh ration card holders covered under the Food Security Act will now get 1 kg of chana dal for Rs 1 per month. At the same time, a proposal has also been passed to give 75 per cent reservation to local people in the private sector, 100 units of electricity free of cost. At the same time, under the MGNREGA scheme, an increase of Rs 27 per day has been made, which means that now the minimum wages of the labourers under MGNREGA will be Rs 237 per day.
In Jharkhand, 10,000 people will be given jobs on July 16. A job fair will be organised at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi in which appointment letters will be given to the youth. In this job fair, the job will be given on the basis of educational qualifications and the salary accordingly. All will be given jobs in the private sector. According to the official notification, the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly will begin on July 29 and end on August 5. The Cabinet Secretariat and vigilance department issued a circular in this regard on Friday. The state government will present its first supplementary budget for the current financial year on August 1, while it will be discussed on August 2. The state's bills are expected to be introduced from August 3-5.
