Former captain of the Indian team and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has shared a photo in which he is seen doing 'Work from Home'. Ganguly wrote in the caption that this is a new world. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all the sports events of the world have been cancelled or postponed. Most countries of the world are struggling with this epidemic and almost every country is under lockdown.
During this time people are forced to do 'work from home'. The BCCI headquarters is in Mumbai and in March also all the employees were asked to work from home. International cricket has not been played since March. The rest of the cricket board along with BCCI are also engaged in the strategy of resuming cricket in the midst of Corona crisis. The 13th season of IPL has also been postponed indefinitely due to Corona.
According to reports, the T20 World Cup is to be played in Australia in October-November this year. The clouds of danger are hovering over its organization too. It is believed that the 2020 T20 World Cup can be postponed until 2022. BCCI is yet to make a decision regarding the 13th season of IPL. If the 2021 World Cup is postponed, the IPL can begin in that window in October-November.
