The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the online registration portal for the CUET UG 2024 exam on Tuesday, March 26th. Interested candidates can apply for the exam on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, until the deadline. The registration link and fee payment window will be disabled after 11:50 pm on March 26th.

Following the closure of registration, the NTA will open a two-day correction window starting from March 28th. This window will allow candidates to make any necessary corrections to their application. The CUET 2024 exam's admit card or city information slip is expected to be released tentatively on April 30th. The exam will be conducted across 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India, as per the official notice by the NTA.

It's important to note that candidates are strictly prohibited from filling more than one application form. The NTA warns that strict action will be taken against any candidate found violating this rule, even at a later stage.

The CUET UG 2024 entrance test is tentatively scheduled to take place between May 15th and May 31st, with results expected to be declared by June 30th.

Here are the steps to apply for the CUET UG 2024 exam:

  • Visit the official website of CUET UG 2024 exam: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
  • Click on the application form link.
  • Complete the new candidate registration.
  • Log in using your credentials and fill out the application form.
  • Upload the required documents and make the payment of the application fee.
  • Click on submit and download the confirmation page.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page and acknowledgment slip for future reference.

The CUET UG exam is a centralized entrance exam conducted annually by the NTA. It enables students to apply for admission to various central universities and other participating institutions across the country.

Recently, M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), announced that approximately 202 higher educational institutes, including 46 Central Universities, have registered to use CUET-UG 2024 scores for admission to UG programs. According to his post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), a total of 46 Central Universities, 32 State Universities, 20 Deemed-to-be-Universities, 98 Private Universities, and 6 Government Institutions have registered for using CUET-UG scores for their UG admissions, with more institutions expected to join.
