History says there’s no chance for the kiwis to win the ODI series either. The test series was swept by Indians by 3-0 in the Kanpur , Kolkata and Indore held test matches. All these matches were a part of India’s history in some way.

Now, the first ODI between the two teams is going to kick start soon and the first match is going to be held in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. And India has never lost a series against New Zealand in when played here in India.

  • The first series was played in 1988 which India won by 5-0.
  • Second series was played in 1995 which was led by M. Azharuddin and India won it by 3-2.
  • In 1999 Sachin Tendulkar led team also won by 3-2.
  • In 2010 the Gautam Gambhir led team won by 5-0

Talking against the odds, New Zealand is the 3rd ranked country in the ODI format. Let’s hope history repeats itself.
