Government has extended the date for the auction of oil fields from 31st October to 30th November 2016. The reason for this extension is considered to be the fear among the government that the bidders may not show any interest in the ONGC used oil fields.
However the data about the oil fields and statistics was not made clear in the reports and that why the bidders demanded a fair report.
The Government officials on this extension of dates commented that they this was a result of the the incomplete data availability and hence the bidders will be given time to figure out their deals.
