Om Birla, MP from Kota and also the Lok Sabha speaker  is at the 19th place in the list of '50 Most Influential Indians 2020’ by Fame India, Asia Post & PSU. Everyone was surprised when Om Birla's name came up for Lok Sabha Speaker. By making MP Om Birla the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, BJP has also given a message to everyone that not only experience is considered important for important posts. Om Birla has the passion to focus on both skill and readiness.

He has been the Parliament Secretary in the Government of Rajasthan and during this time he took many initiatives out of the box. In the year 2014, he has been in many parliamentary committees and apart from this, his management capacity is also considered very good. His behaviour is also very good to all, he is also energetic. Born on December 4, 1962, Om Birla became an MP for the first time in the elections to the 16th Lok Sabha in 2014. After that, he again became an MP from this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2003, 2008 and 2013, he was elected as MLA from Kota.

Om Birla got a place in many committees in the 2014 Lok Sabha. He was made a member of the Estimates Committee, Petitions Committee, Standing Committee on Energy, Advisory Committee.

Om Birla is also interested in the election of cooperative societies. Between 1992 and 1995, he was the Vice President of National Cooperative Union Limited. He was also the Parliamentary Secretary in the Government of Rajasthan and during this time he provided financial assistance of 50 lakh rupees for the treatment of the victims of serious diseases. In August 2004, he worked for the flood victims and in the year 2006, Om Birla came into the limelight when on the eve of Independence Day, more than 15 thousand officers were included in the program called Azadi Ke Swar. The ceremony was held in Kota and Bundi.
