A woman resident of Sohda, Aurangabad has given birth to a strange child in Sadar Hospital today. The child's entire body is said to be wrapped in plastic. In the language of medical science, such children are called colloidal babies. The health of the child is said to be good at present.
In this regard, the doctor of the hospital has said that it is a colloidal baby which happens to be one in 11 lakh babies born in the world. Treatment is being done in SNCU, this child is currently completely healthy and is also doing every activity like a normal child. But doctors say that nothing can be said about how long it is going to be alive.
Dr Dinesh Dubey, the medical officer-in-charge of SNCU, has said that such a child is born due to an abnormality in the sperm of the father. Although this lack of sperm can also be overcome by treatment, but its treatment can be done only in a medical college or a research centre. In this regard, the nurse of the hospital has also said that the child looks absolutely healthy but something like plastic has been wrapped all over his body.
Where it has been learned that many colloidal babies have also been born in Amritsar, Punjab. Within the last 7 years, 3 such children have been born. Two have lost their lives, while the treatment of the third is still going on. In such a situation, doctors are expressing hope that this child living in Sohda, Aurangabad will also become healthy and then can lead a normal life.
