New Delhi: The outbreak of the new corona Omicron variant found in The South Africa is on the rise in the country. 4 new cases of Omicron were found in the national capital Delhi on Thursday. With this, the number of Omicron infected people in Delhi has increased to 10. State that the first case of Omicron in the country was registered in Karnataka on December 2. Since then, 11 states in the country have spread. So far, 77 cases of Omicron have been reported across the country. Delhi ranks third after Maharashtra (32), Rajasthan (17), where the highest number of omicron cases have been reported.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has informed that the number of Omicron infected people in the capital has now gone up to 10. A patient has recovered. There are currently 9 patients admitted to the capital's LNJP hospital. However, the relief is that no patient has found serious symptoms. He said that there are currently 40 patients admitted in the LNJP, out of which 38 are corona infected and 2 are suspected. These are patients who are likely to have Omicron infection. He said that after the increase in infection, the number of beds in the Omicron ward of LNJP has now been increased from 40 to 100.
Health Minister Satyendra Jain said a lot of people coming from airports are getting infected. The infection is on the rise in Delhi, after which restrictions have been imposed there. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has imposed restrictions till December 31 in view of the New Year and Christmas, after which only 50 per cent of the people will be allowed to sit in bars, restaurants and cultural ceremonies.
