Dehradun: The government is likely to impose night curfew and other restrictions on the rise in the case of new variant omicron of corona infection in Uttarakhand. The Government has been alerted after receiving the first case of Omicron in the State. The government has directed all collectors to take stringent steps to control the omicron infection.

In the same Secretariat, Chief Secretary Dr S.S. Sandhu held a meeting with officials of health, disaster management and police department to control and protect the infection after receiving the first case of omicron in Dehradun. The Chief Secretary said that the guidelines issued by the Central Government for prevention and prevention of omicron, a new form of corona infection, will be followed. He directed the Collector and chief medical officers to make proper arrangements for beds, oxygen and medicines in the hospitals.

In the same meeting, it was decided that the daily infected people will be closely monitored to prevent omicron infection. Stringent steps will be taken as the cases of Omicron increase. Even night curfew and other restrictions can be considered in the state if required. In the meeting, Secretary Health Dr Pankaj Kumar Pandey informed about the health arrangements to deal with the third wave. The Government had lifted the restrictions in a phased manner after the impact of the second wave of corona in the State was reduced. After 20th November, all restrictions were cancelled in the State.
