New Delhi: The Government of India has been on alert after two cases of new variant omicron of corona infection were received in Bengaluru. Guidelines have also been issued by the Ministry of Health ranging from this variant. Scientists and doctors around the world are busy brainstorming on how dangerous this variant is compared to the rest of the corona variant and how effective the vaccine is against it. There is also talk of whether it is time to give a booster dose. Meanwhile, the laboratory INSACOG, which tests genome sequencing in the country, has spoken big about booster doses.

INSACOG says that in view of the crisis of omicron variants, the time has come to consider giving boosters to people aged 40 or above. It is our endeavour that all people get both doses of the corona vaccine at the earliest. It is not yet clear how effective the existing vaccines are in overcoming Omicron, making it necessary to take a decision on the booster. A preliminary investigation has revealed that omicron may again increase the infection risk. If this happens, the infection can take another scary form due to mutations. One of the reasons why the increase in mutations has suddenly increased the number of corona patients in South Africa. Meanwhile, WHO is also taking a step towards Omicron. The strategic advisory group of the WHO is meeting on December 7. There is going to be a discussion on booster dose and guidelines may be issued. Now, WHO says that after a preliminary investigation into omicron, it is difficult to say whether the crucial time has come for the booster dose.

What is the government thinking about boosters?
On the other hand, the Government of India informed Parliament that the final decision on boosters will be taken on the suggestion of doctors and scientists. The National Technical Advisory Group, which has taken important decisions on the vaccine, is also brainstorming on booster doses. There is also talk of whether the time has come to give the third dose or booster of the vaccine. However, this discussion is not yet in the public domain.

LANCET reveals which vaccine is safe:-
Amidst the fear of omicrons and brainstorming on booster doses, the Science Journal LANCET has reported that 6 different boosters are safe after taking two doses of Pfizer-bionic vaccine. These boosters are effective in corona to corrosion and increase immunity. A trial has been conducted in the UK. Lancet studied the efficacy of booster doses after vaccinating these six companies. These 6 companies are AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Novavax, Janssen, Moderna, and CureVac. According to Lancet, data on side effects has shown that the vaccine of all the seven companies can be taken as the third dose. The study has shown that minor side effects can show symptoms such as pain, muscle pain, fatigue at the vaccine site. According to research, these vaccines were effective in increasing spike protein immunogenicity.
