Indore: Amid growing concerns over corona's new variant Omicron, the Central government has given five machines to Madhya Pradesh for genome sequencing. However, no case of omicron infection has been reported in the state so far. But, with caution, steps are already being taken. The machines are said to be installed in a total of five districts including the capital Bhopal, Indore. Recently an official of the Madhya Pradesh public relations department has informed about it.

The official said state medical education minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang met Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. It has further been informed that in this meeting, the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister has given five machines to Madhya Pradesh for genome sequencing capable of testing every form of coronavirus. The machines will be installed at Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, and Gwalior.

Talking about this, Sarang said, "Till now, samples from the state were sent to Delhi, which was reported after 10 to 12 days, but as soon as these genome sequencing machines are installed in the state, the inquiry report will be received soon. He further said that the state government will be of great help in the fight against coronavirus and it will benefit the people of the state. The Minister also informed that there is no case of omicron, the new form of coronavirus, in Madhya Pradesh at present.

Sarang also said that we had demanded the allocation of a special budget for six medical colleges of the state so that the government nursing college here can be improved. He said that Mandaviya has agreed to allocate a special budget for this help. Along with this, a super specialty hospital will also be built in the capital Bhopal.
