Due to continuous upsurge in Covid-19 cases in the schools, the Dibrugarh district government ordered the closure of five schools in the district for a week on Friday.

The schools will be closed for a week, including Nandeswar Chakravorty HS School in Dibrugarh (15 cases), Sepon Hatipati High School in Sepon (8 cases), Chachani Jamunamukh HS School in Chachani Jamunamukh (9 cases), Tipling Girls High School in Tipling (11 cases), Naharkatia HS School in Naharkatia HS School in Naharkatia HS School in Naharkatia

After multiple Covid-19 positive cases were found on the premises, Dibrugarh's Inspector of Schools, Dipika Choudhury, ordered the closure of five schools in the Dibrugarh district for seven days. The schools will resume after 7 days, with the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh's permission.

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or AHSEC, on the other hand, has announced the Assam Higher Secondary (HS) Exam Routine (Class 12 board examinations) for 2022. The 12th grade exams will begin on March 15, 2022, and finish on April 12, 2022. The high school tests will be held in two shifts, one from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and another from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Class 12 practical tests will be held from February 21 to March 10, 2022. In compliance with COVID-19 safety rules, all exams will be conducted in an offline mode.
