Recently, a case of crime has come to light in Ranchi. A 26-year-old man stabbed his mother to death with a knife during the midnight of Saturday and Sunday. The incident is reported to be in Vijay Nagar area of northwest Delhi. The accused was identified as Deepak, who handed himself over to the police after killing his mother. According to the police, the accused was intoxicated with alcohol after which he cut his mother's throat with a knife.

Police said, the accused, Deepak, surrendered at the Model Town Police Station at around 1.25 AM and confessed his crime to the police. Police officials said the accused's younger brother had gone to a nearby market at the time of the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), Vijayant Arya told PTI that the body of the woman has been sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for post mortem. The police registered a case and arrested the accused Deepak.
