Yogi govt presents promotion gift to 27 IPS officers on New Year

Lucknow: The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has transferred eight senior IPS officers late on Friday night ahead of the proposed elections in the state. As per the state government order, Ramkumar, who is posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADF) Cyber Crime, will now take over as ADG Varanasi Zone. ADG Varanasi Zone Brij Bhushan has been appointed as the ADG of Lucknow Zone. While ADG Bareilly Zone Avinash Chandra has now been appointed as DG Fire Service Lucknow.

With this, ADG Lucknow Zone SN Sabat, who was promoted to the post of Director General of Police, has been sent to the post of Director General of Police Power Corporation. While Subhash Chandra, ADG still waiting for posting, will now be ADG of cybercrime. ADG personnel Rajkumar has been appointed as ADG Bareilly Zone. With this, Director General of Police Fire Service Anand Kumar has now been made director-general of police of prison administration and corrections department. ADGP PAC Ajay Anand has also been given the command of ADG personnel.

The Yogi Adityanath government in the state has also promoted 27 IPS officers in the New Year. With this, 10 IPS officers have been given selection grades. Chief Minister Yogi has also ordered a promotion for the same. State Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi has informed that ADG Bareilly Zone Avinash Chandra has been promoted to the post of DG. Naveen Arora, Mohit Agarwal, GK Goswami and Bhajani Ram Meena, IPS officers of the 1997 batch, have been promoted from IG to ADG.
