Methane gas in this plant has been found to be 96 per cent pure. This will not only improve the calorific value but also increase the effectiveness of bio-CNG. The plant is built on PPP (Private Public Partnership) mode, which will fetch Indore Municipal Corporation a revenue of Rs 2.5 crore every year. The plant will be powered by 100 per cent wet waste. The survey of the company that set up the plant found that the garbage samples of Indore had more than 99 per cent segregation purity, which was not found in the samples taken from any other state of the country. The 18,000 KG of gas produced at the plant will enable about 400 buses to operate daily, which will not only help in environmental protection but also improve the air quality.
