Chandigarh: The global pandemic coronavirus has not completely wreaked havoc in the country and a new crisis has started taking place in the country. The bird flu is spreading rapidly in many states of the country. Meanwhile, the central government has confirmed the outbreak of bird flu in Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat.

According to the action plan with immediate effect in these 6 states, the Central Government has issued prevention instructions on avian influenza. The Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has come on the alert mode in view of the increasing havoc of bird flu. The government is planning to kill more than 1.60 lakh birds in some poultry samples of Panchkula after being confirmed to be infected with avian flu.

There are a total of 80 lakh chickens in the poultry farm of Haryana, of which 16 thousand die daily is normal. Operators of the farms whose chickens will be killed will be compensated at the rate of Rs 90 per hen. One km area of the farm has been declared as infected zone and 10 km area as surveillance zone. Monitoring will be done within 10 km radius.
