One more person tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus to 55,331 across the state, according to a senior health official. According to the official, the border state now has 15 ongoing COVID-19 cases. He stated that so far, 55,036 individuals had recovered from the ailment, including five on Saturday.

The death toll from COVID-19 has remained at 280, with no new fatalities recorded in the previous 24 hours, according to State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa. The state's coronavirus recovery rate rose slightly to 99.47 percent from 99.46 percent the day before, while the activity ratio remained at 0.03 percent.

On Saturday, three additional COVID-19 cases were recorded in Arunachal Pradesh. The Capital Complex, which includes the regions of Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, and Banderdewa, has the most active instances, with eight, followed by Namsai district (3), West Kameng (2), Tawang, and Lohit, each with one.

Jampa added that thus far across the state, 12,04,059 samples have been tested for COVID-19, including 64 on Saturday, with a positive rate of 1.56 percent. According to Dr. Dimong Padun, the state's state immunisation officer, a total of 14,55,582 persons have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine.
