Hisar: A protest was staged in Hisar today to protest against the FIR against farmers who were going to lodge a protest in front of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait himself reached Hisar to lead the farmers. Meanwhile, it is reported that a farmer from Uglaan village has died of a heart attack. The farmer who was martyred has been identified as Ramchandra Kharb. He reportedly suffered a heart attack during the demonstration which led to his death.

In fact, on May 16, CM Khattar had gone to inaugurate the Covid Hospital in Hisar. It was then that the farmers started heading towards Hisar to meet him. At the same time, they clashed with the police, which later turned into a big riot. Police also fired tear gas shells along with lathicharge on the farmers. But the case took a toll when haryana police registered a case for allegedly attacking the personnel on duty against 350 unidentified farmers who were protesting. A protest was held today to protest against it.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait told the protesters that they will not bow down to the government. Their fight is to save the farm and the farmer. Unless the three agricultural laws of the Government are returned, the farmer will continue his struggle irrespective of anything. Tikait urged the farmers to continue their protest peacefully.
