Rampur: Azam Khan, an MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat and leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), is landed again into trouble. A case has been registered against SP leader Azam Khan, former CO Ale Hassan and then police chief Skillvir Singh for allegedly grabbing land for Mohammed Ali Johar University. According to information, these FIRs have been lodged at Thana Azimnagar. Now, 27 cases have been filed against Azam and his associates in the land grabbing case.

As per the information received so far, five sections 323, 342, 447, 389, 506 have been registered against SP leader Azam Khan, former CO Ale Hassan and then Thana President Skillvir Singh in Thana Azimnagar. More than 25 complaints have been lodged against Azam Khan and his close quarters for grabbing farmers' land. Police are investigating all cases. The Rampur police has registered before the judge on Wednesday the statements of farmers whose land was grabbed to build the Johar University.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case against SP leader and Rampur MP Azam Khan in a money laundering case. More than 25 cases have already been registered against Azam Khan for grabbing land at Ajimnagar police station. Azam Khan has also been accused of illegally occupying farmers' land in the name of Johar University.
