Increasing infection cases in Dehradun, many positive cases coming every minute

Dehradun: After some decrease in positive cases on Monday, a new explosion occurred again on Tuesday. During the last 24 hours, 999 new covid positive cases were reported in the district. In total, there are positive cases in Doon every one and a half minutes. However, this figure is supposed to give relief in the sense that on April 18, the number of positive cases in the district has reached 1281. Meanwhile, after all the beds in government hospitals are filled, some private hospitals in the district administration have been instructed to vacate the ICU and oxygen beds for the covid patient.

Bed reserves in three hospitals: According to the information received, the district administration issued orders to 3 private hospitals to provide ICU and reserve oxygen beds for covid patients. These include Subharati Medical College Hospital at Jhajjarsa, Lehman Hospital at Herbertpur, and Kalandi Hospital in Kalsi. Subharati Medical College Hospital has been asked to reserve 20 ICU and 210 oxygen support beds for corona patients. 7 ICU and 30 oxygen support beds at Lehman Hospital and 7 ICU and 30 oxygen support beds have also been asked to be reserved at Kalandi Hospital.

Active Cases Over 8,000: The number of active cases in the district has now reached 8051. However, most of the people have been kept in home isolation after which all government and private hospitals are under tremendous pressure. With 999 new positive cases, the total number of positive corona patients in Doon has now gone up to 42902. With the recovery of 518 patients on Tuesday, 33303 patients have recovered so far. The recovery rate in the district has now fallen to 77.61 percent due to continuous lying higher than the patient recovering.
