Hyderabad: Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has sought proposals from all political parties on the issues necessary for discussion during the session. The state government has proposed discussion on 10 other topics including IT industry, Dalit brothers, Harita Haram and agriculture. Around four-five bills and two ordinances will be introduced in the assembly during the session. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is keen to use the Vidhan Sabha as a platform and inform the people of the State about its many initiatives. He made it clear that the government was ready to hold meetings for several days as demanded by the opposition parties. However, he suggested that only meaningful and important issues should be discussed in the House.

The State Government has proposed to hold the session of the State Legislative Assembly till October 5 for the next eight working days during the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by the Speaker of the Assembly. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy, Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and others attended the BAC meeting.

Chandrashekhar Rao suggested making new rules and regulations for the smooth functioning of the State Legislature. He said the Telangana State Legislature is setting an example for others in the country and is providing ample time to the opposition parties irrespective of their representation in the House. On this occasion he suggested setting up of a club exclusively for MLAs in Hyderabad. He requested the Speaker to visit the Constitution Club in Delhi along with the Minister of Legislative Affairs, Finance Minister, a team of opposition leaders and investigate before starting the project.
