Dehradun: Uttarakhand Education Department is preparing to pay Rs 2500 per month for five years to 100 topper students of 12th standard of government schools. This amount will be given to them for studying higher education. The government has released the times of the meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on September 21. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan suggested that 100 topper students of 12th standard of government schools in the state should be given Rs 2500 per month for high education for the next five years.

70 children of Uttarakhand Board and 30 CBSE Board should be included in the same. In addition, under Sankalp Abhiyan, IAS and PCS officers should voluntarily go to schools one day a month and teach children. Director Secondary Education was directed to take action in connection with the payment of funds to topper children.

At the same time, in the meeting chaired by the CM, in connection with the construction of Sainik Vidyalaya Jakholi, it was informed that its DPR has been prepared, but the Central Government has expressed its inability to provide a budget for its construction. In the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary said that the Sainik Vidyalaya should be constructed in the interest of the State. Approval and sanction of the proposed DPR may be initiated. Budget arrangements should be made at the State level for this purpose. While the Central Government should once again be appealed for the Budget.
