New Delhi: MPs from 12 opposition parties protested in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament complex today on Wednesday (December 21) over the China border dispute. The MPs have demanded from the government that the Tawang clash case should be discussed in detail in the Parliament. Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge were also present during this protest. Sonia Gandhi said that encroachment on the border by China is a matter of serious concern. Sonia alleged that the public and the Parliament are not able to know about the condition of LAC, but the government is adamant and does not want to discuss it.

At the same time, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said that PM Modi should break his silence in the Tawang clash case. We want PM Modi to come and answer this issue in Parliament. Congress Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor said that we are not criticizing the army. We are with the army, but the question is about the political leadership of the country. All we want is that the government should discuss the border situation and take it into the confidence of the people of the country. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has given a statement in Parliament on the Tawang clash, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has also gone to Tawang and met the jawans to take stock of the situation. Rijiju also issued a statement regarding the situation from Tawang, saying that the Indian Army has bravely driven out the Chinese. The army itself has issued a statement on the Tawang clash saying that, The situation is under control and our troops have driven out the Chinese forces that had entered Indian territory. But, even after this, the ruckus of the opposition continues in the Parliament and the proceedings of the House are being interrupted again and again. Rahul Gandhi has even said that China is beating our soldiers, after which he was criticized a lot.,  Rahul was accused of trying to break the morale of the army.

Let us inform you that, earlier on Tuesday, on the initiative of PM Modi, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had arranged lunch for the MPs in the Parliament complex itself. During this, Congress leaders were also seen having food along with BJP leaders. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had lunch with PM Modi.
