Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is not attending the swearing-in ceremony of Congress leader Siddaramaiah, who is going to become the CM of Karnataka. In his place, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar will attend the event. Let us inform that TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee was invited by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge for this function to be held in Bengaluru on May 20. Congress has a plan to show opposition unity on this day.

Senior TMC leader and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien has given information about this by tweeting. He wrote in his tweet that, "Siddaramaiah, who became the CM of Karnataka, and his other colleagues had personally invited TMC President and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for the swearing-in ceremony to be held tomorrow." She (Mamata) conveyed her best wishes and asked TMC Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Kokila Ghosh Dastidar to attend the event.

Let us tell you that Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee recently said that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, her party will support the Congress in those places where it is in a strong position. However, Mamata Banerjee's presence at Siddaramaiah's swearing-in ceremony was considered crucial for the unity of the opposition parties.
