New Delhi: Today, Government has cleared the ordinance over the demonetisation in which people will be punished if they have with them more than 10 notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 old currency after 31st March.

Those who will acquire,transfer and receive these old currency, it will be regarded as a punishable offence. The council was headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi where ordiance to amend the RBI act to remove liability of central bank and government on demonetisation notes is also passed.

All the banned notes after 30 december will be deposited in RBI.
