On Thursday (March 25), Saina Nehwal recorded gloriously win entered against Marie Batomene in the quarterfinals match of ongoing Orleans Masters 2021 tournament. Nehwal lost the first game 18-21 to her French opponent but bounced back to secure a win by reestablishing her command in the last two games. Lets us share that  the former World No.1 badminton, Saina Nehwal, paved her way into the second round of the tournament after a dominating 21-9, 21-5 win against Irish counterpart Rachael Darragh on Wednesday.

For your information let us share that the Indian fourth seed, who is also a London Olympics bronze medallist, will now face either France's Yaelle Hoyaux or Malaysia's Iris Wang in the next round at the at Palais des Sports in France. Meanwhile, young star Ira Sharma has also joined Nehwal in the last eight of the Orleans Masters after a 21-18, 21-13 win over Bulgarian shuttler Mariya Mitsova. Ira Sharma was to the promoted women’s singles main draw after a top women’s singles badminton player had to withdraw from the competition.

However, here it is needed to share that India have more prospects for the titles in the men’s singles category with former World No.1 Kidambi Srikanth set to take on Malaysia's Cheam June Wei for a place in the men’s singles quarter-finals. In the women’s doubles category, seasoned Indian shuttler Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy have received a walkover. Ponappa will be seen in action, later on Thursday, when she appears for her mixed doubles fixture with partner Dhruv Kapila.
