According to media reports, Christopher John Barber, 46, of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, was arrested on Thursday night and charged with counselling to commit mischief, counselling to commit disobeying a court order, and counselling to commit obstructing police, according to an Ottawa Police statement.
Tamara Lich, 49, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, is also accused with inciting others to conduct mischief. Both of them are scheduled to appear in court. The Ottawa Police Department continues to issue notice to protesters, informing them that blocking streets or helping others in blocking streets is a criminal offence that might result in arrest.
Protesters were also warned that if they continued to engage in illegal activities, they would face charges and fines, according to the Ottawa Police Department.
