New Delhi: Corona has once again increased panic in the country. Cases of infection are increasing rapidly. In the last 24 hours, 10,753 cases of corona have been registered in the country. With this, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 6.78 percent. It was 5.01 percent on Friday. On the other hand, if we talk about the positivity rate of the past seven days, it has been recorded at 4.49 percent. Cases have increased rapidly in many states, and the health department has advised taking precautions regarding this.
Talking about Friday, 29 people have died due to corona in the country. Maximum nine people died in Kerala. More than 1500 Corona cases were registered in Delhi on Friday. At the same time, the infection rate was about 28 percent. The positivity rate in Delhi was recorded at 27.77 percent. Earlier on Wednesday, 320 cases were registered in Mumbai. For the first time after September 2022, so many cases were reported in the city in a single day. At the same time, 274 patients recovered in 24 hours in Mumbai. Active cases have crossed 1,600.
In the cases of Corona infection found in India, most of the cases are coming from the new variant XBB.1.16. According to INSACOG, an organisation that monitors genome sequencing, 38.2 percent of the Corona cases reported every day in the country are of the XBB.1.16 variant.
