Over 22 Bombs Seized, Defused In Kolkata Building

Bengal police detained the owners of the building and the promoter after 22 bombs found in the building. The police has seized at least 22 bombs from an under-construction building in Kolkata’s Entally area.

Special Task Force and Kolkata Police personnel raided the building on Sir Syed Ahmed Road after acting on a tip-off.  Police seized the bombs kept in two boxes. The officer said The bombs were defused by sleuths of the Kolkata Police’s bomb disposal squad. the bombs were seized and kept in a safe place under the strict guidance of BDS, DD. he investigation into the incident is underway.

On working out the information, an under-construction building at 2/1B, Sir Syed Ahmed Road, a specific room at the corner of the ground floor was under the radar. Specifically, two boxes were pointed out which were kept on a loft just above the entry gate of that room. Those boxes were brought down and on opening the same as many as 22 crude type bombs were found. The STF was also part of the operation. Meanwhile, further investigations are underway.
