We are all in a dispute over water supply between Telangana and The Andhra Pradesh Government. So Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Tuesday said the jurisdiction of the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) and the Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) would be communicated "as per the provisions of andhra pradesh reorganisation act". Addressing the media after a two-hour second apex council meeting held in New Delhi after a gap of four years, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and YS Jaganmohan Reddy from Andhra Pradesh participated in the video conference. The Union Minister said the meeting was held in a very friendly environment and talks were limited to four agenda items as announced earlier.

Speaking about this, Shekhawat said, "The Centre will go ahead and show the jurisdiction of KRMB and GRMB. The Telangana Chief Minister objected, but said that there was no need for consensus under the Reorganisation Act and the Centre could issue a notification. He finally agreed," he said. Regarding the second agenda point for the presentation of detailed project reports (DPR) for new projects, Shekhawat said that the two Chief Ministers had agreed to present the DPR of all new projects undertaken and the Jal Shakti Ministry assured them that there would be a technical assessment of all projects and that they would be done in no time.
