The owner of a milk product factory was arrested under the National Security Act and was sent to Central Jail on Wednesday for adulterating dairy products and putting people's health in danger. His factory was raided by the food department on the complaint of adulteration on Tuesday. The food department had raided a factory named Satguru Milk Products in Polo Ground area of the city and seized material to prepare adulterated dairy products from there on Tuesday. DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra instructed the subordinates to take action against the people indulged in adulteration in the city. On Wednesday, Banganga police prepared a case under NSA 1980 against Tikamdas Thadani, owner of the factory and presented the case before the district magistrate. After that, the DM issued an arrest warrant against Thadani. The police on Wednesday arrested Thadani and sent him to Central Jail in the city.
Collector warns to stop illegal activities: Following the above incident, Manish Singh, Collector and District Magistrate, has warned adulterators and mafias to stop the illegal activities and cheating people and playing with their lives. He has said that these people will be booked under the National Security Act (NSA) if found involved in illegal activities. Singh was talking to media at his office on Wednesday. He was replying to questions asked in the backdrop of the joint action of District administration, IMC and Food and Safety Department carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday.
