The Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour, by President Pranab Mukherjee ,on the second ceremony of 2016 Priyanka Chopra received the award at a glittering function at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Priyanka seemed no less than a "Desi" girl, dressed in a lime green sari while receiving the honour. 

Along with Priyanka, Udit Narayan, who has been a part of the music industry for over three decades received award for his contribution to the world of music .On receiving the award, Udit  touched the president's feet.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth received the award while Rajinikanth, dressed in traditional attire, received the Padma Vibhushan from President Pranab Mukherjee.
