Mumbai: With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavat set to hit theatres across the country, cinema theatres in Mumbai on recruitment spree of private security guards aka Bouncers to prevent their property from Karni Sena.

This might be the very first time in the history of Bollywood when any cinema hall has hired bouncers for the screening of a film.

Majority of theatre owners fearing that screening of Padmavat will bring Karni Sena and other Hindu outfit ire and they want assurance of no mishap takes place in their theatres. None of the theatre owners leaving no stone unturned to avoid any untoward incident at their places.

Sun City theatre in Vile Pare has hired 20 private security guards to ensure that movie is released smoothly without any chaos.

In past few days, protests and many incidents took place across the nation with mob targeted cinema theatres and vandalised property. They even damaged buses plying on the roads.

Thousands of Karni Sena and other outfits upset with the portrayal of Rani Padmaavati or Padmini in the film lodged their protest against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Community members claimed that Rani Padmaavati is a respected figure in the Rajput community and we won’t allow anyone to distort history or character assassinate prominent historical figures.

This is not the first time when the subject came in news. Earlier in March, a mob vandalised the set of the movie at Maharashtra’s Panhala fort, barely a month after Bhansali, shifted to the historic fort in Panhala after running into trouble in Jaipur in January.
