Dhanbad: The brutality with which Rupesh Pandey was killed has been revealed in the post-mortem report. Every part of his body was attacked. He was killed on February 6, 2022, by a Muslim mob in Dulmaha village under Barhi police station in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. However, the Jharkhand Police is refusing to treat it as mob lynching.
It is the same police who had lodged a complaint a few days ago against the people who took out a candle march demanding justice in the incident. BJP leader Kapil Mishra, who was then going to meet Rupesh's family members, was stopped at the airport. Now, the BJP leaders who are going to attend his shradh have also been stopped. This behaviour of the police-administration is coming to the fore when the victim's family is sitting on a protest for justice.
Regarding the same case, Dr Gaurav Sharma said that the post-mortem shows that due to the injury, blood clots had formed and the internal organs had failed. There were injury marks on the entire body including eyes, ears, chest, stomach, legs. Was attacked by strong and heavy things. The attack was carried out with a sharp weapon. An attempt was made to strangle. There were wounds in the ear, throat and lower part of the chest. The post-mortem took place on February 7, the day after the murder. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken cognizance of the Rupesh Pandey murder case. Its chairperson Priyank Kanungo has said that he will go to Hazaribagh on February 20.
