Crowd gathered to see overturned truck full of petrol, loud explosion and then...

Khargone: A tanker full of petrol and diesel overturned in Khargone in the early hours of Wednesday i.e. today. During this time there was a crowd of villagers. Then there was a loud explosion in the tanker. The accident was so horrific that only the skeleton of a 20-year-old woman survived. More than 22 people were also injured. The accident took place in the village Anjangaon located on the Mogargaon-Garhi road under the Bistan police station area. Here the tanker overturned uncontrollably on the turn. The driver and cleaner fled. The tanker was on its way to Jhirnia. The explosion took place about 2 hours after the tanker overturned. The police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The fire was brought under control by the fire brigade. The injured have been sent to the district hospital by ambulance. The injured include 7 children and 13 men and women. 8 people are serious, who have been referred to Indore.

Collector Kumar Purushottam and SP Dharamveer Singh Yadav went to the district hospital as soon as the incident came to light. The collector has said that serious people were referred to Indore for treatment. BPCL officials have been informed about the incident. His team has left Khandwa. They are going to take action on the whole matter.

Anjangaon sarpanch Dr Umrao has said that, when people came to see the tanker, there was a loud blast due to a short circuit. 20-year-old Rangubai father Gorelal, who was present here, lost her life. The girl was burnt to death in the fire. After the fire was extinguished, only the skeleton of the young woman was seen.

 

The injured have been identified as Rahul (19), Nathu (15), Sanjay (10), Rahul (14), Badal (12), Sitran (10), Laxmi Pata Gorelal (15), Sapna (16), Kala Pati Kalu (30), Surma Bai (40), Meera Bai (28), Mansingh (28). Kanhaiya (30), Anil (25), Hiralal (20), Malu (35), Ramsingh (32), Gorelal (45), Ramesh (32), and Jagdish (23).
