Muzaffarpur: Big news is coming out from Bihar, here the Saptakranti Express going from Delhi to Muzaffarpur survived an accident. The workers working on the railway track, seeing the train approaching at speed, left the pole on the track and fled from there. The train driver was blown away after seeing the pole on the track. But the driver showed understanding and stopped the train by applying the emergency brake. 

The same incident happened at Kunwarpur Chintamanpur Railway Halt in Motihari. Kunwarpur Chintamanpur Railway Halt is a halt railway station on the Muzaffarpur–Gorakhpur main line under the Samastipur railway division of the East Central Railway zone. According to the news received, due to the doubling of railway tracks near Kunwarpur Halt near Pipra station, a large track was being crossed by labourers. At the same time, the Saptakranti Express train reached there. The speed of the train was around 100 km/h. Seeing the train, the labourers ran away by throwing the pole track on the railway track itself. 

The same was noticed by the driver of the train, after which the driver somehow started applying the emergency brake of the train. After much effort, the driver managed to stop the train, but still, the train dragged the pole for about two hundred meters. Due to this, there was a loud jolt in the train and the sound started coming. Due to the loud noise and tremors in the train, rumours of fire started spreading among the passengers, after which an atmosphere of panic prevailed and the passengers jumped from the train in a hurry, due to which many passengers also been injured. At present, a rescue operation is going on at the spot.
