The Pakistan High Commission has issued approximately 3,000 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims to enable them to attend the 552nd birth anniversary festivities of Guru Nanak in Pakistan from November 17 to 26, as per reports.

The Sikh pilgrims will visit various gurdwaras in Pakistan, including the Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib and the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, according to a statement released by the High Commission. According to the report, visas for Sikh pilgrims were provided under the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974, which allows 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India to come for the birthday celebrations of Sikhism's founder.

Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from different nations will be expected to travel to Pakistan to participate in the event. On the 552nd birth anniversary of the founder of the Sikh religion, the Pakistan High Commission in India congratulated the Sikh community. The government's attempts to promote visits to religious places in Pakistan include issuing the maximum number of pilgrimage visas possible.
