Kashmir: The ceasefire has again been violated by neighbouring Pakistan in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan Fired Mortars in the Hajipir sector, but the Indian army retaliated.

According to information, firing from Pakistan side has been going on at several places on the LoC for the past two days. Several areas including Uri, Tangdhar, Gurez, Naushera have been resorted to firing from Pak side in which one jawan was killed and several civilians were injured. According to sources, a protest has also been lodged by India in the Pak High Commission taking strict cognizance of this.

Earlier in the evening, India lodged an objection to the Pakistan High Commission saying that several innocent Indians were killed in the shelling. In the first shelling, a soldier was killed and a woman and a child were also killed. A dozen people are also reported to be injured in the shelling.
